This option lets anyone - or your friend whom has the same version with our without mods that are the same versions play with you. I'm presuming this is what you're wanting - sort-a-kind-a. Then there's multiplayer - where you can set many preferences including how many people can join and give it a password to help protect it. There's single player where you and only you play, but that's not what you're looking for. If they did get rid of the single player servers I'm going to need a little help setting up my server that is private and with only hold up to two people. So what I'm wondering is that did they get rid of it and I have to make a dedicated server or is my game not working properly. Ok I most likely have not gotten the memo but in older versions of the game you could host a non dedicated server when you play a single player game.
